Short Bio:

Laurens Cherchye holds a PhD in economics (Leuven, 2001). He has been teaching at the University of Leuven and Tilburg University; topics cover microeconomics, operations research and econometrics. He is currently a full professor at the University of Leuven, an extramural fellow of CentER (Tilburg University), a honorary senior research associate of University College London (UCL) and an international research fellow of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS). He has been a full professor at Tilburg University (2009-2011), a visiting professor at ECARES (Université Libre de Bruxelles) (2008-2009) and was a postdoctoral fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders (2002-2008).
